We have extra nights available in Split for September 10 and 11, 2026. Accommodation will be at a 4-star hotel, to be announced (TBN).

Day 1: June 12th, Welcome to Split
Arrive in Split and check in to our hotel by 5 PM. Join us for cocktails as you meet the group, including our hosts Walter and Alex. Later, we will enjoy a delightful dinner at a traditional local konoba, where you can savor authentic Croatian cuisine and flavors.

Day 2: June 13th, Split to Trogir Adventure
After a hearty breakfast, we will check out of the hotel. Walter will lead the first painting demonstration to kick-start our creative workshop. Following this inspiring session, guests will have free time to enjoy lunch on their own.
Next, we gather to board the MV Aquamarin. As you step aboard, indulge in a refreshing welcome cocktail with Walt and Alex while taking in the stunning panoramic views as we cruise towards Trogir. Along the way, enjoy a refreshing swim in the sparkling azure waters.
Trogir, often called a "miniature Venice," is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a rich history dating back 3,000 years. Explore the artistic brilliance and historical charm of this ancient town.
Savor an early dinner served aboard the ship, perfectly complementing the magical atmosphere of Trogir. We will dock overnight at Trogir port, allowing you to soak in the timeless beauty of this enchanting town under the stars.

Day 3: June 14th, Trogir to Skradin and Šibenik
Wake up to the promise of a northern journey and enjoy a delicious breakfast as we cruise towards Skradin. Take in stunning vistas and refresh with a morning swim along the way. Upon arrival in Skradin, Walter will lead an inspiring painting session, capturing the charming essence of this historic town. Afterwards, we sail to Šibenik, where Walt will guide our second painting session through the historic old town. Explore remarkable cultural monuments, including the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St. James. Wander through the scenic waterfront, where centuries of history are alive. Choose your favorite spot to create your artistic masterpiece. Dinner is on your own in town.

Day 4: June 15th Šibenik, Kornati National Park, and Telašćica Nature Park
After breakfast, set sail for Dugi Otok, enjoying a refreshing swim stop amidst the serene Adriatic. Cruise through the breathtaking landscapes of Kornati National Park, where rugged cliffs meet crystal-clear waters. Enjoy lunch on board as we navigate this natural wonder, followed by another swim stop. Later, explore Telašćica Nature Park, famed for its stunning white cliffs and enchanting lake. Dinner will be served on board as you spend the night surrounded by the untouched beauty of this pristine paradise.

Day 5: June 16th, Mali Lošinj
Enjoy a delightful breakfast and a refreshing morning swim before sailing to the enchanting island of Lošinj, known as the Sunshine Island. Immerse yourself in its pine forests, wildflowers, and aromatic herbs, and the soothing Mediterranean atmosphere. After a swim stop, enjoy lunch on board. Take a leisurely stroll to the Lošinj Aromatic Garden or explore the charming town of Veli Lošinj, both just a pleasant walk away.

​Day 6: June 17th, Mali Lošinj to Zadar
Following breakfast, cruise towards Zadar, passing the intriguing moon-like landscape of Pag Island. Enjoy a swim stop en route and lunch on board. Once docked in Zadar, join Walt for a painting session exploring the rich cultural heritage of the city. Discover the ancient Roman Forum, the basilica of St. Donatus, city walls, and historic gates. Wander the labyrinth of noble palaces and soak in the vibrant city atmosphere. Experience Zadar’s modern marvels, including the mesmerizing Sea Organ and the captivating “Greeting to the Sun” light installation. The city offers numerous picturesque painting locations. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a renowned local restaurant before retiring for the night.

Day 7: June 18th, Zadar, Vodice, and Primošten
Set sail early for Vodice, a lively Dalmatian town bustling in high season. Enjoy a morning painting session here before continuing to the quaint coastal gem of Primošten, celebrated for its exquisite local wines. Relish a delectable lunch on board followed by a swim in crystal-clear waters. Explore Primošten’s winding streets and historic landmarks during the second painting session. Cap the day with a lavish Captain’s Dinner on board, accompanied by live music for an unforgettable evening.

Day 8: June 19th, Primošten to Split
Enjoy a peaceful morning cruise to Split, soaking in the stunning Split Riviera. Delight in a sumptuous lunch on board. Upon arrival, embrace the dynamic charm of Split’s medieval Old Town and the ancient grandeur of Diocletian’s Palace, rich with 1,700 years of history. Wander stone-paved alleys lined with cafes, restaurants, and galleries, while the waterfront and Marjan peninsula invite exploration.

Day 9: June 20th, Departure from Split
Savor your final breakfast on board as you prepare to say farewell to new friends and unforgettable memories. Check-out by 9:00 AM and transfer to Split Airport, approximately 35 minutes from the ship. We will organize group transfers where possible for your convenience. Frequently asked questions​

My partner does not paint, is there something for him/her to do?
Yes, we are painting about 6-7 hours a day. Most locations are in villages or places of interest. There is ample time and things for a non-painter to do and explore. The islands are very walkable and easy to explore.

How many hours a day will we be painting?
Every day we will be painting a minimum of 6-8 hours. There will also be the option for sunset and night painting. We list daily in the itinerary the estimated hours for each day. We start off lighter and increase the hours as the week progresses.

Is my deposit of $1,000 refundable?
No, we have limited space and need a commitment from each guest. Please note that the deposit of $1,000 per guest
is NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case that the trip does not meet the minimum number of participants. 

How do we pack?
We have two pre-meeting at the Yellow Barn Studio before the trip to explain packing and general information. Both meetings are broadcast live for those that can't physically attend.

Do I need Travel Insurance? Where can I purchase Insurance?
We highly recommend Travel Insurance. Travel insurance is based on many factors and the price varies from person to person. You can get a quote from our agent Carol Symington, [email protected] . Please mention your tour, the dates, price and that it is Tierno Tours.

No, This is a land package only.

We are staying 8 nights on MV Aquamarine

How do I book my flights?
As soon as the group is formed we will be sending out an email too purchase your airfare. If you are out of state or have extended dates you can contact Carol Symington, [email protected]  and she can help you book our flights.

Walter Bartman workshop ends Saturday, June 20, 2026 out of  the Split Airport (SPT).  Please send us your flight information asap to [email protected].

How do I get from the airport to the Hotel?
On Day 1, June 12, 2026, we will help guests get taxis/transfer to the hotel in Split.  On Day 9, June 20, 2026 everyone will get there our taxi to Split airport. We have to be off the ship by 9:00 am. The airport is 35 minutes from our ship.
