Day 1 – ​ (Saturday) Arrival in Ireland 
Arrive at International Shannon Airport (SNN). Transfer to our private motorcoach. Our first stop is Bunratty Castle. A must-see stop and the best-preserved castle in Ireland. After our visit, we will stop for a quick homemade lunch in Limerick, then proceed to Galway. Check-in and the remainder of the day is yours to relax, before rejoining your party for dinner.

​Day 2 –  (Sunday) Cliffs of Moher, Smoked Salmon and Doolin
We will start with a proper Irish Breakfast and a relaxing morning in Galway. We will be making stops on our way to the Cliffs of Moher. First Lisdoonvarna to taste and learn about smoked salmon at the Burren Smokehouse. Then to Doolin the town known for pub music and shops, free time in town, then the Cliffs of Moher. After our visit, back to Galway and dinner on our own.

Day 3 – (Monday) Cong and Ashford Castle 
Today we will be visiting Ashford Castle, one of the best castles in Ireland. We will have time in the shops and on the grounds before our special meal in the castle itself. We will then have a private 2-hour cruise to explore the lake's most famous island set on 100 beautiful acres of state-owned forest park. While on the island passengers are taken on a guided tour of St. Patrick's 5th Century Monastic site. A musician entertains guests along the way with music, stories and song. We will then stop in Cong, a famous village for films such as “The Quiet Man” and writers such as Oscar Wilde. Free time to explore before driving back to Galway.

Day 4 – (Tuesday) Free day in Galway 
The vibrant city of Galway has entertainers on every corner, quaint shops and pubs. Full day at your leisure. We will have a special night together in Galway, fish and chips and live music.

Day 5 – (Wednesday) Dingle Peninsula
We are leaving Galway and heading south to Dingle. We will explore the Dingle Peninsula stopping to see the inch beach, the longest sandy stretch of beach in Ireland; and then free time in the town of Dingle. A few more must-see stops before checking into our hotel in Tralee.
Accommodations: The Ash Hotel in the center of town -Tralee

Day 6 – (Thursday)  Donkies, Cork and the Titanic 
Today we will be going south to Cork, but along the way, we will stop at the Donkey Farm to visit the 1,200 donkeys that have retired here. A beautiful walk around the grounds with spectacular views of Cork. Next, we will stop in the fishing village of Cobh. Cobh was where the Titanic picked up their 3rd class passengers and set sail never to be seen again. We will take the self-guided tour of the Titanic museum. Then off to Cork where we will have free time to explore the city.

Day 7 – (Friday) Killarney and the Ring of Kerry 
Full day in Killarney, you will have time to visit the nation park, visit town and take the tour of the ring of Kerry. We will return for dinner together in Tralee.

Day 8  – (Saturday) Transfer Day
Say goodbye to Ireland. Transfer to the airport, about 1h 40 min drive
Or continue to Belfast and Northern Ireland.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours a day will we be walking or on a bus?
Every day we will be walking a minimum of 3 hours. There will also be uphill streets and stairs. The bus rides vary in time for 20 minutes to 2 hours.

I am traveling alone, will I be the only one?
No, on average we have about half the group that are singles.


Is there a single supplement? 
​

How can I avoid paying the single supplement?
We can match guests with same-sex roommates. We will connect you by email and you can see if you are compatible to share a room. 


Is my deposit of $400 refundable?
No, we have limited space and need a commitment from each guest. Please note that the deposit of $400 per guest
is NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case that the trip does not meet the minimum number of participants.

The trip's go-status will be confirmed no later than 90 days before departure.

How do I book my flights?
As soon as the group is formed we will be sending out a confirmation email with all necessary information. You can contact our agent or if you are booking your own airfare, departure dates and airports will be listed in the confirmation email.


How do we pack?
We have a Zoom conference with the group before the trip to explain packing and general information; plus a packing list.

Do I need Travel Insurance? Where can I purchase Insurance?
We highly recommend Travel Insurance. Travel insurance is based on many factors and the price varies from person to person. You can get a quote from our agent Carol Symington, csymington@AAASJ.COM . Please mention your tour, the dates, price and that it is Tierno Tours. ​
Is my flight included?
No, This is a land package only.


If booking your own airfare:
Departure from USA or Canada no later than 24 hours before the tour begins.

Is an upgrade possible?
Yes, in some of our accommodations upgrades are possible. Many times they are limited and we recommend that you contact us to reserve the room as soon as possible. You will be given a price and charged at the time of booking. All upgrades are non-refundable.

How do I get from the airport to the Hotel?
There are many transfer companies. We will help you book your transfer as soon as you purchase your airfare. 


How much is the cost of the Transfer?
