Day 1 - Arrive in Ancona (AOI) and Transfer to the Villa in Le Marche. 
Upon arrival at Ancona, we will provide a seamless transfer to the picturesque Villa in Le Marche. Take some time to settle in and relax before joining us in the evening for a greet and meet session with Miyoko and the rest of the group. We'll then proceed to enjoy a delightful welcome dinner together to kick off our culinary adventure.

Day 2 - Classic Italian Sunday 
We'll start our day with a visit to Grottazzolina , to meet Rosanna at her home resturant. Experience the charm and essence of a classic Sunday in the Italian countryside as we indulge in a sumptuous, multi-course meal that typically lasts about 3 to 4 hours. After our satisfying feast, we'll take a leisurely stroll, known as "passaggiata," in town to soak in the local atmosphere.

Day 3 - Cooking Lesson with a Local Chef in Macerata
Today, a talented Italian local chef will join forces to give us an unforgettable cooking lesson where we'll learn to prepare vegan classic Le Marche dishes. We'll divide into groups and create a delicious three-course meal. After savoring our culinary creations, we'll have some free time to explore the charming town of Macerata. We will have time for a light wine tasting before returning to the villa.

Day 4 - Free Day with Optional Bike Tour
Enjoy a leisurely day exploring at your own pace. You can plan various activities or simply relax and rejuvenate at our lovely Villa. In the evening, we'll gather for a delicious dinner hosted at the Villa. Additionally, there is an optional bike tour available for those who wish to discover the beauty of Le Marche on two wheels.

Day 5 - Discover the Treasures of Urbino 
Today, we'll embark on a captivating trip to the city of Urbino, a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our guided tour will unveil the rich history and artistic wonders of the city, including its connection to the famous painter Raphael. After the tour, you'll have free time to explore further. In the evening, we'll come together in a small local village and enjoy a delightful dinner on our way back to the villa.

Day 6 - Relaxation by the Sea at Conero Riviera 
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the sea as we spend a full day at a private beach club. The Conero Riviera offers crystal clear waters and hidden beaches surrounded by picturesque scenery. Relax, unwind, and soak up the sun. In the evening back at the Villa for dinner together.

Day 7 - Montecassiano and cooking lesson with Miyoko.
Our day begins with a visit to Montecassiano, where we'll embark on a walking market tour led by Miyoko to discover the foods of Le Marche. Next, we'll head back to the villa to cook together.  In the evening we‘ll have a dress night and enjoy live music and dinner at the villa.

Day 8 - Farewell to Le Marche
After breakfast, we'll arrange a smooth transfer for you to your next destination, bidding farewell to the enchanting region of Le Marche.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours a day will we be walking or on a bus?
Every day we will be walking a minimum of 3 hours. There will also be uphill streets and stairs. The bus rides vary in time for 20 minutes to 2 hours.

I am traveling alone, will I be the only one?
No, on average we have about half the group that are singles.

Is there a single supplement? And why?
Yes, there is. It's $550 for a private room. The reason we have a single supplement is because some hotels do not offer a single rate. So as a single person you are paying a full rate of the room instead of it being divided by two.

How can I avoid paying the single supplement?
We can match guests with same-sex roommates. We will connect you by email and you can see if you are compatible to share a room. 

Is my deposit of $400 refundable?
No, we have limited space and need a commitment from each guest. Please note that the deposit of $400 per guest
is NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case that the trip does not meet the minimum number of participants.
The trip's go-status will be confirmed no later than 90 days before departure. This trip is now a GO.

Notice of cancellation must be in writing to Tierno Tours LLC. In the event that a client needs to cancel his or her tour, the following cancellation penalties apply whether or not a person is rebooked on another tour:
Within 89 days of departure – 100% of the booking is non refundable.

What deposits are due and when?
We require $400 per person deposit and final payment is due Friday, March 1, 2024, for balance of the tour.

Do I need Travel Insurance? Where can I purchase Insurance?
Each guest can decide base on there situation if they need travel insurance. We do highly recommend that you look into health insurance. Tierno Tours doesn't sell insurance but can provide you with an agent if needed.

How do I book my flights?
As soon as you leave your deposit we will send out a confirmation email with all necessary information. You can contact our agent or if you are booking your own airfare, departure dates and airports will be listed in the confirmation email.

Is my flight included?
No, This is a land package only.

If booking your own airfare:
Departure from USA or Canada no later than Friday, May 31, 2024. The tours ends on Saturday, June 8, 2024 after breakfast.
We recommend flying in and out of Ancona (AOI) airport.
​We will be organizing a group transfer from Ancona to the villa at 2pm on June 1st. It is also possible to fly into Rome (FCO) and other airports. Contact us for options.

​How do we pack?
We have a Zoom conference with the group before the trip to explain packing and general information; plus a packing list.

Is an upgrade possible?
Yes, in some of our accommodations upgrades are possible. Many times they are limited and we recommend that you contact us to reserve the room as soon as possible. You will be given a price and charged at the time of booking. All upgrades are non-refundable.

How do I get from the airport to the Hotel?
There are many transfer companies. We will help you book your transfer as soon as you purchase your airfare. 

What airport should you fly into?
We are recommending flying into Rome (FCO). But it is possible to fly into Ancona (AOI) airport.

How much is the cost of the Transfer?
There is a train about every 3 hours from Rome to Ancona.
