Day 1 - Monday, September 2 - Venice
Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), transfer on your own to our hotel in Venice. After checking in, enjoy free time to relax before joining Walter, Alex, and the rest of the group for a welcome dinner this evening.

Day 2 - Tuesday, September 3 - Venetian Craftsmanship
Following breakfast, we'll embark on a 3-hour Venetian craftsmanship tour. We'll visit the oar workshop to learn about gondola oar-making, then head to the shipyard to hear directly from the masters about the history of Venice's iconic ships. We'll cap off the tour with a serene gondola ride through the canals. Enjoy free time for lunch on your own before meeting Walter this afternoon for a painting workshop in the Cannaregio neighborhood.

Day 3 - Wednesday, September 4 - Full Day Venice Workshop
Spend today painting iconic Venice alongside Walter during this full-day workshop in the Cannaregio district. Capture the beauty of the canals, bridges, and architecture. Tonight, we'll gather for a farewell dinner in Venice.

Day 4 - Thursday, September 5 - Transfer to the Dolomites
This morning we depart Venice and journey north to the breathtaking Dolomites. Along the way, we'll stop in a charming mountain village for a painting session and light lunch. In the afternoon, we'll continue to our hotel in Colfosco. Dinner will be at our hotel this evening.

Days 5-9 - Friday, September 6 to Tuesday, September 10 - Dolomites Workshops
For the next 5 days, we'll be immersed in the beauty of the Dolomites while painting alongside Walter. Each day will include two 4-hour painting sessions to capture the surrounding mountains, villages, and landscapes. Every evening we’ll meet for dinner at our hotel.

Day 10 – Wednesday, September 11 - Say goodbye to Italy
Early morning transfer to Venice Marco Polo airport.

My partner does not paint, is there something for him/her to do?
Yes, we are painting about 6-7 hours a day. Most locations are in villages or places of interest. There is ample time and things for a non-painter to do and explore. How many hours a day will we be painting? Every day we will be painting a minimum of 6-8 hours. There will also be the option for sunset and night painting. We list daily in the itinerary the estimated hours for each day. We start off lighter and increase the hours as the week progresses. Is my deposit of $400 refundable? No, we have limited space and need a commitment from each guest. Please note that the deposit of $400 per guest is NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case that the trip does not meet the minimum number of participants. Where are we staying? Venice - Arcadia Boutique Hotel Colfosco - Mountain Hotel Mezdi How do we pack? We have two pre-meeting at the Yellow Barn Studio before the trip to explain packing and general information. Both meetings are broadcast live for those that can't physically attend. Do I need Travel Insurance? Where can I purchase Insurance? We highly recommend Travel Insurance. Travel insurance is based on many factors and the price varies from person to person. You can get a quote from our agent Carol Symington, [email protected] . As soon as the group is formed we will be sending out airfare quotes from the surrounding DC area. We have an early morning transfer from our hotel in Colfosco departing at 4am (2:45min) arriving at Venice airport at 7am. Please book your flights after 9:30am. Venice Marco Polo airport (VCE) is located just a 35-minute by Light Rail to downtown Venice and our hotel. How much is the cost of the Transfer?
