Day 2 – Monday, June 16: 1st Immersive Cooking School Experience
After a delightful breakfast, prepare to dive into the world of vegan cooking! Over the next five days, you'll immerse yourself in mastering the essentials of plant-based cuisine. Our journey begins with an intensive six-hour morning cooking class, where you’ll don your apron and hone your culinary skills. As the day winds down, enjoy a leisurely walking tour through downtown Agropoli, culminating in a fabulous pizza dinner with a stunning view of the water. Let’s cook, explore, and savor the joys of culinary discovery! Accommodations: Borgo La Pietraia Meals Included: Breakfast, Tastings in Class, and Pizza Dinner Day 3 – Tuesday, June 17: Exploring White Figs of Cilento and Temples of Paestum Immerse yourself in the local flavors with a captivating tour of the White Fig Factory in Cilento. Discover the meticulous process behind the production of these prized figs and delight in tasting these exquisite local delicacies. Enjoy a lunch featuring these specialties before journeying to the awe-inspiring Greek Temples of Paestum, renowned as some of the best-preserved in the world. Next we'll have dinner together where we'll taste all the local dishes that Cilento is known for. Start your journey at the Joe Petrosino Museum, where you'll delve into the detective's fascinating legacy and his battle against the Mafia. Next, savor a lunch highlighting the region’s renowned red potatoes at a charming local trattoria. Your day concludes with a visit to the majestic La Certosa di San Lorenzo, one of Italy's largest and most enchanting monasteries, offering a glimpse into the area's architectural splendor. These caves are some of the best in Europe with beautiful caverns and lakes. Returning to the kitchen the next cooking session promises to deepen your culinary skills and further explore the vibrant world of vegan cuisine. In the evening, enjoy free time in town. Accommodations: Hotel Villa Torre Antica Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Tastings from Class Day 5 – Thursday, June 12: Third Immersive Cooking School Experience Start the day with Miyoko as she leads our third and final 6-hour cooking class, rounding off an inspiring week of culinary exploration. Our journey begins with a visit to the iconic Cristo Redentore statue, modeled after the famous Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. Next, we'll embark on an exhilarating skywalk experience, traversing a suspended walkway that seemingly hangs above the clouds. This unique vantage point offers unparalleled vistas of Maratea's rugged cliffs and picturesque harbors.After working up an appetite, we'll head to the renowned lava rock beach for a delightful seaside lunch. Our final stop will be the enchanting Waterfalls of Venus' Hair, or the "Cascate Capelli di Venere". We'll witness the cascading waters tumbling over the rocky formations. To cap off our day, we'll enjoy a light dinner and refreshing cocktails, and say our goodbyes. We ask all guests not to book flights before 6:30am to avoid super early morning transfers. |
How many hours a day will we be walking or on a bus?
Every day we will be walking a minimum of 3 hours. There will also be uphill streets and stairs. The bus rides vary in time for 20 minutes to 2 hours. I am traveling alone, will I be the only one? No, on average we have about half the group that are singles. Is there a single supplement? And why? No, on this tour there is NO single supplement. Is my deposit of $500 refundable? No, we have limited space and need a commitment from each guest. Please note that the deposit of $500 per guest is NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case that the trip does not meet the minimum number of participants. The trip's go-status will be confirmed no later than 90 days before departure. March 8 , 2025 How do I book my flights? This is a build your own package tour each guests will have different dates of travel. We'll confirm at booking your travel dates. How do we pack? We have a Zoom conference with the group before the trip to explain packing and general information; plus a packing list. Do I need Travel Insurance? Where can I purchase Insurance? Is an upgrade possible?
Yes, in some of our accommodations upgrades are possible. Many times they are limited and we recommend that you contact us to reserve the room as soon as possible. You will be given a price and charged at the time of booking. All upgrades are non-refundable. Where are we staying? Cilento, Italy How do I get from the airport to the Hotel? There are many transfer companies. We will help you book your transfer as soon as you purchase your airfare. How much is the cost of the Transfer? The Naples airport is a 1:30 min drive to Cilento and taxis cost about 150 euro per taxi. We will help guests share taxi when possible. Is my flight included? No, This is a land package only. Booking your own airfare: Departure: Please schedule your departure from the USA or Canada by Saturday, May 31(week one)June 7(week Two), arriving into Naples International Airport (NAP). Conclusion: The tour will conclude on June 7(week one)June 14(week two), with departures from Naples International Airport (NAP). This airport is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes from our hotel on the first day, and on the final day. Kindly plan your departure from Naples airport, taking into account the travel duration from our Hotel. |
